The installation’s dimensions are flexible and variable, consisting of many small (about 8”x8”) pieces of fabric (hankies) which can be displayed on a clothesline of any length from 6-50 feet. Porcelain hands periodically interact with the hankies, pinching, holding, offering, and pinning them to the clothesline. Hung Out to Dry:… can be exhibited as individual sculpture; each pair of hands holding a hankie hung as one wall piece- each a distinct idea. The piece can also be displayed as an installation occupying a wall or any dimension up to 50’.
