An interdisciplinary artist, Lee Puffer has a thriving studio practice in La Mesa, CA where she creates life-sized figurative and/or kinetic sculpture and installation work. Her sculpture offers cultural critique through personal and often controversial imagery with irony and humor. Puffer’s ongoing research is in the human creative process as well as the artists’ role in our contemporary culture.

Lee Puffer holds an MFA from San Diego State University and a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art. She has taught art at SDSU, MassArt, Grossmont College, Palomar College, and Coronado Adult School to individuals of all ages and abilities. As a Visiting Artist she has done lectures and demonstrations Mesa College, Palomar College and SDSU.

Puffer’s work is in many private collections and has been exhibited at The Museum of Ceramic ArtThe Oceanside MuseumLuiz de Jesus Gallery, and at Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Art, among others.
